Lately we've been thinking a lot about the power of social media and just how much of an impact it has on our daily lives - and frankly, the impact it has on our emotional, psychological, & even physical health. We believe that social media can be a tool for good, for change, and for motivation, so we wanted to share with you a few of the folks we follow who inspire us and remind us what it means to live well.
Courtney's Favorite Instagram Accounts
Thrive Global: Daily reminders to slow down, be kind to yourself, and take care of your mental, physical & emotional health. With a good dose of inspirational quotes mixed in along the way.
Emily McDowell Studio: Cards for "the relationships we really have." I love to give cards to people for all occasions (and sometimes for no reason at all really). Emily McDowell designs cards that tell it like it is and somehow put a smile on your face during some of life's most difficult trials.
Elephant Journal: An online magazine focused on "the mindful life" with writers who inspire me to put pen to paper and not be afraid to show what I'm really feeling.
Mari Andrew: Before I got into Art Journaling myself, I started following Mari Andrew who processes life's daily routines and complicated relationship questions in her illustrations. Her work hits so close to home for me that I can't believe she's able to capture an emotion or relationship I've experienced so perfectly in an illustration.
Loryn Brantz: Her comics always make me smile and often make me laugh out loud. And girl power. Enough said.
Kaleigh's Favorite Instagram Accounts
Life in Jeneral: The only professional organizing company that can put Khloe Kardashian's pantry to shame. Looking for a little cleaning motivation? Check out their Instagram Stories for the most satisfying before and after pictures ever.
Hannah Bronfman: A vision board of what I want my body, travels and life to look like. I love Hannah and her company, HBFIT!
Kelly Fondots: I've been following this sweet family from Southern California for 3 years now. Kelly has done an incredible job of documenting Ivy's cancer journey in such a raw, authentic and beautiful way.
Taralynn McNitt: Formerly the Skinny Skeleton, Taralynn gives me snack envy!
Calen Rhome: This is someone I saw around Denver all the time, but was too starstruck to approach. I'm so obsessed with Calen's photography/videography. Make sure he's on your radar if you're looking for someone to capture your wedding day.
